Ordered speakers, Tweeters may stick out too much for Rear Deck..

So i'm replacing the blown stock 6x9 speakers that came with my 1999 Mazda Protege LX. I ordered a pair off Amazon and I'm a little worried that the tweeters may stick out to much and not fit..

Crutchfield says they will not fit. If they indeed do not, what are my options as far as getting the speakers in and secured while maintaining a clean look. Would i have to somehow cut the plastic vent to allow room or is it possible to mount them from underneath and use long screws with bolts to allow more space?

P.S. first post :)

they should fit. i have three way speakers in the rear deck and there's a good half inch clearance. the bottom of the speaker grill on the rear deck has cross members that you could trim down if you had to. also you could under-mount them using long bolts and and a series of nuts but you would need to enclose the gap then somehow so you don't loose the sound to the trunk
