I have always liked the Integra, but I figured I would post a pic of my friend's car, tell ya what he has got, and wait for yall to tell me what YOU think. REMEMBER: looks are not everything.javascript:ShowImage('http://www.cardomain.com/member_pages/show_image.pl?image=member_img_b/268000-268999%2F268955_28_full.jpg', 575, 431)

1992 Honda Integra Project, owned by Daryl Tankersly

Mods include:
-Tenzo short shifter
-front and rear upper strut bars
-Tein S-Tech lowering springs
-20 degrees advanced timing with 93 octane
-dropped sound deadener
-dropped power steering
-dropped AC belt
-1993 GSR radiator
-1996 GSR wheels, custom black
-carbon-fiber hood with custom air vents
-open air filter
-dropped exhaust resonator
-gutted catalytic converter
-front bumper splitters
-custom cooling fan switch
-Brembo replacement rotors
-Hawk brake pads
-Five-point racing harness
-dropped driver restraint system

(spank)
-carbon-fiber hood with custom air vents...Those are custom, alright.
-open air filter...Huh?

...looks like he spray-painted his wheels and cut a couple of holes in the hood.

J/K
whats up with these mods
half of them i dont get:dropped this , dropped that,:wtf:
im not trying to sound like a dick , because if it was a mazda i would say the same thing but he needs some help with his ride.
get him on here and well talk to him to help remedy his "rice disease";)

I've always believed that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.

...So I'm not going to say anything. ( ;) )

LOLLOLLOL
and more LOL:D

dont like it, not my sort of thing....

looks aren't everything but its the first thing people notice.

the rims are nice though =D

slap some clear corners into those heads

hmm not the greatest thing to look at, but that is not the point of the car.

Guessing he is just trying to make a curcuit racer, and not a dragster. But if he dropped the AC belt, why not drop the compressor also?
The Tein springs are also very nice, but like the JIC for out car lot more :) Ohh hope to have those someday.

Hmm maybe he could come up with us to Summit Raceway, and he can TRY to follow Mike's CRX...:D :D

oh btw some of the fastest cars around the curcuit are often the chitty looking ones.

Ever more so with Drift compentation entries.

You got that right :D

haha thanks everyone, I actually like the criticism...and I KNOW he does too. His car IS NOT a dragger, but rather an autocross car. It is also not a ricer, as we know them. He is not the usual civic-driver(no offense) who pulls up to lights with a stock engine and rev's up on you. He is merely making the best of his funds, and his funds dont permit the best high-quality stuff. He "dropped" all the extra weight he could, including almost the entire interior. The harness helps a great deal in the autocross; you might be surprised. I agree with Rob soooo much; this car is in no way a treat to feast the eyes on, but it has it where it matters. Daryl (my friend) loves Mazdas, and I speak so highly of this forum that he wanted someone else's opinion, preferably not other Honda owners. I know he appreciate what yall say. And you are right, it does need some work, but just wait till he drops the supercharger in it and the other fun stuff...then we will see who is really ricin'...:D

Thanks again, and keep 'em comin....

I think it's a good example of a budget racer, so for the record, this is a positive review. My only problem is with the bumper splitters. I doubt they're very effective, and they look funny IMO.

Ya not great on the bumper slits, think he is trying to use them for brake coolers.
Lot of cars try to incorprate such slits. In fact the 90-96 300ZX(Z32s) rims are angled to direct air to the brakes. However lot of people put the rims on the wrong side so they don't work.

Rob Miller: a true, walking, talking encyclopedia of useless car knowledge...useless car knowledge we all love to hear!

Im j/k man, we all know you are great...much props to ya!

Thanks everyone, keep 'em comin'...

of course, my friend, of course...and Daryl is definitly interested in going to Summit Point sometime...keep me posted.

Look closely, they aren't slits...they're little winglets. I agree air inlets to aid brake cooling would be useful, especially since he plans on AutoXing.
