Yes its that time of year, us Chicagoans are disappointed from a dismal bears season yet again. but fear not because Its BASEBALL SEASON!!! any thoughts on this year?

i am most certainly excited for my Sox, having the best pitching rotation in all of MLB( arguably)

and i wish the chokers on the north side, best of luck...(moon)

Loved the opening game last night. I am a sox fan too, different color (red), but a sox fan none the less.

This was just posted by my sister in law Stacy (She lives in California so I'm not sure why she is a Cubs Fan):

Stacy said:
Dear Cubs, I know we have a love hate relationship. I love you, and you hate to win championships. How about this year you guys try something different? Love, Stacy

Thought it was pretty funny.

I'm still in hockey mode. Cubs are going to blow again anyways. Happens every year since 1908.

Ya we should have done that, and i hate to gloat but Zambrano is not better this year at all, he should have kept the weight on(rofl)

Go Cubs Go,
Go Cubs Go,
Hey Chicago what d'ya say?
The cubs are gonna win today!

Just wait till next year.

I second the above stated motion By NRRfrogmanP5, and vote to remove Sanblaster's post on grounds of jealousness

i have nothing against soccer but when i hear someone say most popular or most exciting i dont think of soccer. maybe in the rest of the world, but i can honesly say i only care about soccer when the wc comes around and that goes for just about everyone i know. maybe if it was more popular here i would have a different opinion.

Soccer can be a bit hard to watch. Some of the rules and fouls are hard to understand, and much of the action doesn't seem exciting if you don't know what is going on. It seems like a bunch of guys kicking a ball around, then suddenly someone scores and the excitement last about ten seconds. However I played for many years, and when you understand the way the game works it is great to watch. Now baseball on the other hand is great live, but I can't watch it on TV.

With that said, what about a 247 day at a baseball game?

Edit: just saw highlights of Messi scoring a hat trick in 22 min during the champions league game. He had 4 total in the 4-0 for Barcalona. Amazing!
