Hi Guys, just finished putting on my first Thousand miles on my 2007 FWD Sport. What a great vehicle, really enjoy driving it and the wife really enjoys it also. Just want to comment on a few things that are happening and maybe get some advise from those out there that have owned the car longer than i have.
The first thing every morning when i pull out of the garage the brakes make a squeeling noise. Seems to only happen at first, throughout the day i dont seem to notice it anymore, could be still happening but because its not in the garage i cant hear it as well. Is it just the hard brakes that are being used today on most vehicles or is this something that i should have checked out. I only have 2000 more miles on my dealer warranty.
The second thing, and the most annoying i must say, is the squeeking and creeking i get from the front suspension. When this vehicle is on the highway, intestate it drives like a charm. Pretty quiet (except for a little wind noise i get from the driver window, i think anyway) but i can handle that ok. When i drive it in town, over some bumps and ugly streets, it kind of makes some ugly squeeking sounds, sometimes i think im driving an old creaky boat or something. More noticable when i turn right. This is the most annoying thing about the vehicle. Any advise? I did have the delaer check it out, he heard the creaking, greased up a few things, but it didnt help. Considering taking it back or taking it to my local mechanic to have it checked out.
Other than the mentioned minor problems, i really love the car. Fun to drive, even have an aftermarket DVD player in it, grandkid loves it. Had Sirius radio installed by dealer, love that also. Am hoping to get the craking and cracking taken care of, but want to go in knowing what im talking about, so any advice would be appreciated.
Really love reading the posts on this forum. Hope everyone has a great day.
