One thing leads to another...engine code, then coil packs, then anti fouler, now

One thing leads to another...engine code, then coil packs, then anti fouler, now low idle and it hunts.

I am trying to sell this car and I realize that the anti fouler is a patch, but I need to sell this car soon.

So I had the coil pack issue causing it to buck etc. Then it popped a code for the pre-cat. So after changing the packs, wires, plugs etc and adding the anti fouler to the 2nd 02 sensor, now I have another issue.

The car hunts for idle and almost stalls after pulling up to a red light. It drops to almost 200 rpm, then bounces up to about 750 after you tap the throttle.

I cleaned the EGR about 6 months ago, so I doubt it is that.

Any other ideas?

The EGR looked like new when I cleaned it last time. I haven't cleaned the MAFS since last year, but when I did, it looked good.

After reflecting on this, I started thinking about this issue. If this thing sits for a few weeks, it will smoke a little on start up. I have thought the pcv valve may be stuck, but it rattles when you shake it. I may change it, just for good measures.

I have wondered about the IAC and the EGR both, but those are both quite costly. I don't want to throw parts at it if I can avoid it.

I would clean it again and reset the ECU by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes. It is worth a shot in my opinion.

If the rpms are bouncing after you reset the ecu its just re adjusting and there is no problem last time I did it it took 150 miles before it was done other times it was 40 give it a few days and see if it stops

Cool, thanks.

I just cleaned the intake system with the seafoam spray. It seems better, we'll see what happens. I have driven it approx. 20-25 miles so far.
