One headlight out but works with highbeams, wire harness problem? (not bulb)

My right headlight recently went out but it still worked with highbeams. Ok, so I figured my Osram Silverstars were kicked (I've had them for over a year, don't quite remember how long). I went to replace them with the old stock ones and the right headlight still wasn't working but was with highbeams. When I was taking out the right one, one of the three prongs was stuck and after quite some manuvering and yanking the prong broke off inside the white plug. It was quite hard to get the prong out with pliers and wound up cracking some of the white plasic that surrounds the particular plug. So do you think it is corrosion, or a short, my harness, etc? Anyone else ever have this happen?

Well it wound up being one of the connectors in the harness. I wonder where I can get two quality 9003 connectors to replace ours....maybe a more sealed version. I looked at pep-boys for new connectors and came across a 9003 connector but was a piece of crap. Haven't tried anywhere else... but would really like to get new ones even though I got mine to work. Anyone hear anything about the new Sylvania Silverstar Ultra's? PepBoys has em for 34.99 after a $15 rebate...not bad

happened again! My HID's are coming but still worry about sealing the connectors to prevent this from happening again. Could it be that I never installed my weather stripping on my R/C hood, enabling water to seep between while driving..?
