the newest best motoring has the rx8 in it. its called "rotary reborn".

and jay, they have a tuned 350z battle. that should interest you. i hear the sound tuned Z's make is ungodly.
What's up Jason!

Yup, there's a video in the photo/video forum of a twin turbo 350Z, and that thing sounds crazy!

supposedly with the rx8's getting tuned to the correct a/f ratios(they are n/a running REALLY rich a/f ratios, around 10:1 or something rediculous) people are gaining 20+whp from that.

Glad to know the Protege isn't the only Mazda that runs pig-rich from the factory.

I always wonder what happens to half those owners. They should do a revisit show like Overhaulin did.

How many are still running, how many wrecked, stolen etc.

diane bought a dealer 'demo' RX-8, hence all the problems that she's have had with the motor(s)...
So it was ragged on a lot since it was a demo? Too much redlining or what? And if she is on her second motor now, then why does that one need replacing? I'm just curious cause I thought the renesis was supposed to be fairly reliable.

the manual specifically says no excessive redlining for the first 600 miles for proper break-in, and you know how 'demo' cars gets treated by test drivers...

as for 2nd replacement motor, well you know there's the saying, 'once the original seal is broken, it's never the same,' well this is sort of the case... sometimes you just get a 'lemon' that can't seem to get well no matter what you do :(

Yah, she has issues, but I still love her. So in my garage she stays...I treat her very well and change the oil much more often than recommended (Mazda recommends 7500 mile oil change intervals  #$!!%*!)

I dunno, but if we decide to keep her when her warranty runs out, she may get a v8 swap. ;) That CX-7 is looking pretty good right about now. Hell, we only race the miata anyways and there's no way (without a motor swap) that we could pull 10s in the 8 The miata it's def possible. :D

I <3 my miata!
