2007 CX9 Touring, 2010 Toyota Corolla S
Hey All

Its been over 2 years since ive been on the forum. I got rid of the Pro5 in october of 08 for a Hyundai Sonata. Sunday we got rid of that and got a 2007 CX9 Touring model and i absolutely love it. The car did not come with an owners manual but i have a question. Can the rear vent be turned off independantly from the front vents?

Also i would love any hints or tips on this bad boy, i will be around browsing around and other cx9 for ideas.

Thanks! and its nice to be back.

Kevin

Thanks raw, I see were in the same boat.

I figured out how to shut off the rear vent!

Welcome! If you register your car on Mazda's website, you can get an owners manual pdf there, or it is also on this forum, like all over the place. Tips: get a drop-in filter k&n to help control the gas demon. Tip: cx-9 brakes are known to be not so great. 2 options: buy centric rotors or bed the brakes: http://www.mazdas247.com/forum/showthread.php?123798036-*-Read-this-before-you-buy-new-rotors!-* Also, if you are interested, somewhere on this forum is instructions on how to get your fog lights to work alone w/out the headlights.

I dont have foglights :(
While the stealership wants big $$$ for the fog kit, if you wait a little while longer, you could find them at a salvage yard eventually. Keep your eyes out for them on www.car-part.com (not to be confused with carpart.com) and if you perform and nation wide search, some day you could get them for next to nothing, and buy the light stalk on the console as well. If you are ever interested in that option.

Thanks for the tip hel.

So ithought i had figured out the rear vent thing but alas i dont think i have. Does it ever completely shut off? I press the rear control button up front which i assume means i can then use the control in the rear but when i turn the knob to off nothing happens. Only reason im obsessed with this is because it blows right in to my 15m.o. daughters face if i dont turn the vents. if it always runs im ok with that i just want a definitive answer since i dont have a manual.
