Luckily I live like 4 miles from the store, so he aint finding my house, but it was scary.

Don't worry if he was able to remember and write down your plate number, he could always find out where you live that way.

its weird too, because the area i live in one of the nicest in northern california. Like this s*** doesnt happen. To describe the area, I have had a maserati MC12 drive past my house, seen a bugatti veyron in town, someone In my area owns a Lamborghini Reventon, someone has a Gemballa Mirage GT(Carerra GT) And today I saw a Brand New MBZ SL 65 AMG Black Edition followed by a ferrari 430 Scuderia...so yeah. lol. This was odd.

So, can I just come set up camp in your driveway and watch the traffic go by? I wanna see the Bugatti and the Reventon the most (2thumbs)

So about 20 minutes ago, (like 1:15 a.m.) I was headed to Safeway. (A grocery store out here in california) I was almost there, and was making a right turn at a stop light. All the sudden, I notice some dude walking on the sidewalk, and I was like "whatever." Then he walks into the middle of the street, starts waving his hands, and running at my car. Now, normally, I would just be like, "okay, theres something wrong," but the dude was about 10 feet from a gas station, so it was a little sketchy when he began approaching me. Thats when I decided to get the **** out. I threw it in reverse(he was blocking my car) and then he starting sprinting after me. All the while im at like 4500 rpms trying to keep it straight in reverse, and not to mention shitting my pants. He keeps running, so I turn the wheel, get it stopped in the other direction, and put it in 1st and just take off. He continued to sprint after the car for about 100 yards, and then I could no longer see him. Called the 5-0, and they sent someone out, but honestly, What the ****? What was this guy doing?

Thoughts?
...anyways, sorry If I wasted your time, but Im a little freaked out right now. Luckily I live like 4 miles from the store, so he aint finding my house, but it was scary.

I had some s*** pretty similar to this happen to me and my friend one night.

We made a right turn onto a main street and in the middle of the street a truck was stopped with like 5 guys standing around it. One of them pointed a bat at the car and motioned to pull over, ya ******* right. Soo, I nail the gas and swerve around them. Just when we were beside them a guy punched the car, wtf?? They all jumped in the truck and proceded to chase us. for about a mile. I made it to a freeway on-ramp and we left them in the dust. They were in a Ford ranger me and my friend were in his TSX, I was driving. While they were chasing us though my friend was on the phone calling the cops. we stopped at a well lit gas station where a police officer was waiting for us. We told him what happened and he told us to head home and be carefull.

I had to go ~90mph (in a 45) and run 3 Red lights (no cross-traffic, it was 2am) to get away from these guys.(wrc)

I still to this day have no clue what was going on or who they were??(scratch)

This is so ironic, because I saw this guy driving a mazdaspeed 3 and I wanted to congratulate him for not buying a Golf, and as i tried to walk over to his car he threw it in reverse and sped away!

People are skeered. I have had a lot of people (usually women) that, when I try to get their attention in traffic to let them know they have tail lights out of their dress hanging out the door, they refuse to even look at me and try to speed away. No, I do not look scary. People are paranoid from listening to the news too much.

yeah, that kind of thing has happened to me before. THis was totally different though, dude jumps out in front of my, probably trippin balls on acid. My guess is that he thought I was some sort of taxi

I would've probably accelerated. If he was truly nuts he might've got nailed. If trying to jack you, he'd have moved. Not saying you did the wrong thing ... just a different approach ....

I think under the circumstances you did just fine Bigdaddy. You had a person who was not acting normal or anything close to normal at all, advancing on your car in a rather aggressive manner. Why stick around and see if the intentions are good? So yes you did what you had to do. What I enjoyed seeing on the responses was that everyone thought you did the right thing and nobody armchair quarterbacked decision making process. I myself am a very "Alpha" male...growing up fighting and in trouble as a kid, getting into martial arts in 97 taught me alot about myself and made me much more calmer and patient...I still have my moments..but for the most part handle myself pretty well..I hit the gym 4-5 days aweek..im around 6'1 230lb all muscle..so generaly going to bars or out and about at night im not messed with..and by no means am i saying iam a badass or anything such..these are just things I have observed...I did my time in the army got deployed couple times and did a 2 year stint as a correctional officer. I was a level 3 combatives instructor in the Army, and a field defensive tactics instructor here in Washington. Now im just a average joe student, But my point is I alwas have a tactical mindset where ever Iam. You can call it paranoid if you want..but untill you live a life where your rifle is next to you 24/7 and you are getting shot at and blown up all the time, or had to break up gang fights in a prison where its you and like 200 inmates, and your life is basicly in thier hands, cause no matter how tough and hard you think you are..you wont win that one...you dont have alot of room to speak. I alwas carry a firearm on my person and make sure that Iam skilled in using the firearm in a stressfull situation. Ofcourse you can be skilled with your your hand to hand fighting skills along with a weapon, But your biggest tool you have is your brain. Its what makes you decide on logical thinking..and the flight or fight decision that you will make under a very stressful time. My point with all my rambling, and maybe I said too much..is that life is life..its not a movie where you can say "cut"..it happens to you, regardless if you like it or not. You are presented with whats in front of you and then you must decide on what option is going to help you most. Do not walk around life paranoid, But alwas remain aware of your surroundings, look at things that dont look right or stand out. alwas have a exit strategy if your in a bad area or place. Have a confident mindset. *sidenote* I would suggest carrying Vexor pepperspray,as I understand firearm laws in Cali suck ass..Vexor is not like typical self defense sprays or even what most police departments use. These use spray thats around the 1.5 million "scotsville" heatunits. The vexor is 15 million. This will stop an attacker in his tracks and leave him in a world of hurt, but with no pernament injuries. goodluck to you Bigdaddy :)
