i am driving like 20 mins ago on the highway. i here a clunk the a ping. i look in my rear view and see a yellow circular thing bouncing away from my car! can u guess what it was???





thats right. my bushing for the shifter. it flew off along with the bolt that holds it on. theres still one left and it has the threaded screw through it so i think its holding on. could it come off?? and if so what would happen?

yea well while my car was havin the turbo done me and my friend put it on. it was fine. i couldnt go back cause its on a major highway haha. i called the mechanic and he said itll be fine as long as i go easy on it. but what a pain in the ass right?

when put mine on, the whole bolt w/ nut came off too. i just put everything back together as it came out. I will have to check mine this weekend.

yea well theres just one bushing on and thats it. u cant tighten too tight or it will be too stiff. i didnt notice any difference in the shifting until it fell out haha. so i had no idea it was coming loose.
im puttin the stock bushings back in 2morow until i get the new ones.

id put the stock bushing back in ASAP...wouldnt want the other one to just flop around, with no support from the other side,

i had NO problems since i put my bushings in, email tom@kartboy.com, tell him exactly what happened.

you said you lost the bolt too???

mine did the same ******* thing driving home from oklahoma, the nut bounced off the bolt and one half the bushing fell off, i went to ace and bought an industrial grade nut, a torque wrench and some locktite, no more problems

yea well i was driving last night and the other bushing slipped out of that ring thing on the shifter rod. (if u know what im talking about) my friend picked up the stock bushings from the mechanic that did my turbo cause i forgot them there. hes coming today and were gonna try to put them in.
