ok, another sizing issue

please, offset tip

hey guys,

questions question questions... one day i will be able to contribute here, one way or another.

cut to the chase: i have an 04 3s sedan.
we all know now that the OEM wheel/tire sizing is such:
16"x6.5" ET:52.5mm 205/55/16

i want to get a wheel/tire pkg. sized:
17"x 7" ET:40 mm 225/45/17

sales rep (good guy) at edgeracing.com guarantees fitment but i would like to get some other opinions.... even though the overall profile is almost a match i just worry about fender rub with that offset being what it is. .... overall package is like .7 inches further out or something to that affect...

EDIT: i should mention that the car is not lowered at all

any help would be great... thanks in advance guys.

You will be fine with that.

I am running 18" x 7.5" with a 42 offset, on 225/45/ZR18 with Tein Basic coilovers, and dont rub at all on a Mazda 3 HB.
