Oil slightly above max need for concern?

I checked my oil level today (a week and a half or so) after being at the dealer. The dipstick measured the oil level above maximum. Granted I had been driving the car 2 hours before I checked it I don't know if that could affected the oil level measurement. I checked a few times the level was consistently just above max.

Should I be concerned?

I suppose I could get this info out of the manual but its 20F outside so eff that I'll wait till the morning.
;)

Thanks all
p.s. thanks aaronc for the heads up

when my msp is over the fill line I drive the s*** out of it just to burn some out!

overfilling the oil can (potentially) cause internal lubrication issues because the liquid movement can cause aeration of the fluid. this is an issue with transmission fluid.

'burning it off' will kill your catalytic converters.

I wouldn't worry to much about it, if it's really to high you'll get a huge oil pressure surge through the system, eventually the system will purge the oil out one way or the other, chances are it will go into the PCV and end up getting ingested by the intake.

it's best not to overfill although not fatal to an engine. if you have an oil catch can, then it won't even hurt your cats.

thats what i'm frustrated about because just did the intake injector and valve cleaning all the buildup.

Mine is over the "MAX" on the dip stick, I'm not worried about it. Unless you see bubbling of the oil on the dip stick its alright. Probably not a bad idea to run a little more oil in this car.
