Oil pressure gauge

I don't know if this goes here but help if you can, please and thank you.

Does any one use them? Also do you know how they are supposed to read on and off throttle, and where they are suppose to sit at?

I have had one since the turbo went on my car and its always acted the same. stays lower(between 20 and 40) off throttle and when i get on throttle it raises up depending how much i push the gas.

Today it started acting different... off the throttle it still sits about the same place it will just bounce from there to the top of the gauge and back repeatedly, but as soon as i get on the throttle it functions normally like before...

Anyone have this problem or know why it would be doing this? My car sounds and still runs the same, just the gauge act differently..
 
Sounds like a sender issue. Possibly on it's way out or maybe some debris blocking the orifice at low pressure. What brand is it? I have a similar problem with the sender in my GTO, reads zero PSI or it will bounce around at low RPM but reads normally once I get the RPMs up around 3k.
