Oil Pres. Water Temp Gauge

Thats funny when I searched for water temp guage not much popped up, do you have any search suggestions.

the oil pres. install depends on if your guage is electrical or mechanical. (pres. tube or wire) Mine is mechanical so i had to go to ace hardware and make a brass t-fitting, one side for the stock sensor and another for the guage. to make a fitting you need 1/8 inch tubing. its pretty simple install, just alittle teadious, you will have to drain your oil to do this.

Water temp is alittle harder, you cannot just tap into the stock sensor or atleast thats what i hear, you will have to drill into the engine, next to the stock sensor and install the temp sensor there. some people have welded a new port on the side of the motor to ensure good threads on the sensor.

That is one way. The way I did mine was I tapped the hose that is rite their on the thermostat housing going to the thorttle body. I mad a t fitting using the stuff from home depot. I USED t body used a 3/8 hose connector on each side for the brass connector to connect wheir I cut out the desired length of hose. I then used one of the supplied adapters and connected that to the t brass part and put the sensor in the middle part. The only thing is you have to provide a ground to the body since the ground is usually supllied from the sensor being connected to the head.

This is for a electrical water temp guage install.

mine leaked at first to but after about two to the three days stopped leaking and has never leaked since and it has been like 6 months. I will try to post a pic.

I put in a bad ass t-fitting and it works great, thanks for the imput. I did the same for the oil pressure.
