I dont know what it was but the other day i went to change my oil and i saw a very small drop of oil or coolant on the bottom of the turbo on the compressor side of the turbo. I couldnt tell what it was bc the drop was so small. It felt like oil but was not sure. I didnt think of smelling it but i should of. I was just wondering if anyone else has had any problem like this. I dont beat on the car, at least not yet, bc i want to break the engine in first.

i got the same thing, but mine was oil and it was in the middle of the turbo, between the oil lines so i dont know what is up with that. anyone know??? terry???

Logan and I both have oil leaking turbos.

Mine leaks from either both the top and bottom or just the top and runs down. I am not 100% sure.

The tech is trying to get my turbo replaced since he tightened the turbo up and that didn't solve the issue. Tech also said he was hearing a strange noise just before the turbo spooled and that the turbo was starting to turn a darn shade of grey on the housing. He things it getting to hot and there is something internally wrong with it.

I know Logan took his to dealer and they tightened stuff up. I don't think it fixed his problem either.

If there is a bit of oil residue or accumilation for the most part its normal. If you have excessive leaking then you need to get checked out
