Oil filter

Ok i have the 10w30 Mobil 1 synthetic. my questions are:

1. How much do we use 4.5 or 5 quarts.
2. what filter do we use, id prefer to use the K&N if anybody has the numbers. do we use the same as the 1.8l.

just to let you guys know i would check my manual but it got stolen when my car was broken into.. thanx for the help.

what is it with the owner's manuals getting stolen? they stole mine too when they broke into my car a few weeks ago!

Someone stole your Owners Manual? WTF, damn low lifes. It's 3.7 quarts for the 2.0 liter motor. I couldn't find any filters for my car so I went and bought some factory filters. I would like to know the K&N Filter number too, if they have one.

I put 3.5 quarts in mine. When I went to Advance auto parts to get a filter they looked up a 2001 Protege 2.0, all they had was a Purolator and a Fram, no K&N =( The factory oil filter was a b**** to get off, man they tighten those things way too tight at the factory. I used 5w30 Castrol Syntec in mine.

thanx guys, damn 3.5 quarts seems low. sorry i guess im just use to my old ZX2 it took 4.5 quarts. ya im not going to quick looking until i find the k&n or the mobil 1 oil filter
