Well, the turbo RX-7's are a LITTLE harder, but I have a pedestal adapter for mine, so it's a little closer to get to, and a little more out of the way of the intercooler. If it were a FMIC, it'd be no problem, but the top mount can get in the way a bit. No biggie.
On another note, the way I always end up getting the stock oil filter off is with an oil filter wrench, if the sandpaper trick doesn't work; Grab a strip of sandpaper, and put it in your palm, wrap it around the filter, and twist like hell. It comes off for me pretty easily like that. =)
