I am installing the Oil Filter Conversion kit [Cartridge to Screw on Fillter Conv.] that I got from PG tomorrow and doing an oil change and I was wondering...(Because I didn't see any threads on it)

Has anyone else installed this and if so, is it a pretty simple or a pretty complex task? From the looks or the part itself, it doesn't look too crazy, but any help is always welcome. Thanks again guys.(wiggle)

Just because people peek at it doesn't mean they have an answer for ya, unfortunately.

I've looked into it, it's pretty straightforward, I believe it's only 4 bolts and a fitting or two. Yours does have the oil cooler fitting in it, right?

Not sure, there are three machined surface on it, where the filter mates to it, where I would assume it mounts to the engine and the side opposite the filter. Hang on lemme take some quick pics...

Mates to engine?

Well, I've done FAR more complex things then this, I will post up and let you guys know how everything goes. Going out to Breakfast now and then to my buddy's house to do, oil change, filter conversion, Corksport Full Length Intake and Rear Motor Mount.

Yeah, I can't tell if yours has the extra fitting or not, but if you ordered it from PG and checked the correct option, then you'll be fine. It seems pretty straight forward with the install.

Ok well, I did the oil filter conversion, installed my intake and did a complete oil swap to Royal Purple Full Synthetic. And while the oil filter conversion was a somewhat pain in the ass, it is WELL worth the hassle of being able to use standard screw on oil filters...I'll post some pics when I get a chance.

Nice. I did mine a while back and wasnt too bad. Just make sure you clean where it mates to the engine real well so it doesnt leak. Did you take the bolt off the top where the coolant line is? I have came across people who disconnected the line and spilled all their coolant. If you did the bolt you wouldnt of had this problem.

I just ordered mine from SU along with the sandwich adapter plate for my oil temp gauge. Looking forward to getting that on. Glad to hear someone else say it was worth it.
