I'm clueless when it comes to wheel sizing, I'm currently looking at some rota torques from a local dude I'm just curious if an 18x8 with a 35 offset will fit my 08 MS3. Thanks. I'm pretty sure he said they came off of an rx-8 too.

should fit, however, not sure if you want to go more aggressive than a +38 offset on these cars. It is much harder on the drivelines/axles and whatnot. I know that the factory wheels are a +52 offset.

..so Im pretty sure that they would fit, but I wouldn't do it, personally.

They will fit good in rear front will poke

As guy above said I wouldn't iv ran alot of aggresive wheels and the car did not like it I'd do 40 offset

I run an 18x8 with a 38 et and they poke all the way around..its pretty much flush..kinda limits the tire size you can run tho..Im running the stock 215-45...I'd stay around a 45 et and go with a wider tire like a 235-40.

I've had so many different opinions on this I'm still curious though I am on stock suspension still so I wouldn't need to roll the fenders yet. What exact problems would this possibly cause? I was going to run EVO X wheels but chose against it. I'm not saying any of you guys are wrong I just want as much info as I can get. I've had people tell me it will be fine I'll just have to roll the fenders when I do my springs, then I have people telling me it's going to cause nothing but problems. I guess I'm just lost on what to do.

puts stress on the driveline? ive never heard of that being a problem, its not like ur running spacers which put extra stress on the axles
running a lower offset shouldnt effect any of the driveline. it really shouldnt effect handling or anything either if you use the right size tire

a fender roll will def be necc. though

To guy above a lower off set will stick the wheel out farther giving it a wider stance which improves handling

I think I'm going to run 235/40/18 tires would that work and would I need to roll the fenders even though I'm on stock springs.

Spacers are a way to decrease offset. Using 10mm spaces with a 50mm offset is essentially the same as a 40mm offset wheel, they both push the centerline of the wheel 10mm outboard.

Pushing the wheels out will reduce weight transfer, and thus improve handling, but pushing the track out by 10-20mm when it's already 1700mm+ won't get you a whole lot.

I decided to pass on those rota torques, just sounds like a big headache. I'm going to start looking for something 18x8 or 18x8.5 with a less aggressive offset. Thanks again for the pointers. If you have any good ideas on some wheels shoot them my way.

If I were in the market the Enkei RPF1 would be near the top of my list. They're 18x7.5, weight a little over 17lbs, 48mm offset, and look pretty slick on an MS3.
