is it just me or is the P5 community scared of going with some more crazy offset? i have 17x7 +50 and 8 +45 and i think it looks too "sunk in". any pics out there of some more crazy offset and drops?

They won't fit without fender rolling stretching cutting modding.
That's why. Not really worth it for such a slow car, especially with heavy rims.

I'll be doing 17x9.5" soon with a bit of body work...and we're not all slow!

Right now I have 18x7.5 50mm offset

17x9.5 + ?? what offset though?
im shooting for 17x7.5 +41 and 17x9 +45 work VS-KF
or 17x8 and 9 +45 work farmas

This probably won't be until next income tax. With 2" wider I'd need and extra 1" offset so 25mm I think?
