Since I dont really know anyone (my fault for missin last meet) yet lets get a little more out there for people to see. The last Utah forums section I was on was jumpin - I know this one can be but its up to us. So I thought I would introduce myself better and so can everyone else.

I am currently on the Electric Vehicle Race Team at BYU trying to get a GM EV1 to run mid 13's on pure capacitors. I am also trying to get BYU to run a Formula SAE car for my senior capstone project.

1985 Ford F150 (man I miss that truck!)
1971 Triumph TR6 (too bad she blew a head!)
1998 Contour SVT (best car Ive owned cept the MSP)

Can't choose a major, or school, 3 schools in 3 years, 4 majors later...
I take a lot of pride in my car but seem to have terrible luck. 1 curb check, 2 popped tires, retarded tickets: headlight too blue (kamas cops have nothing to do) 2 speeding (one for 5 over on 2100 S) no front license plate.

First car i've owned, but plan on having it for a long time, with extensive modifications of course.
I ski, golf, attempt to play the guitar, and have mad halo skills... lol
Music, I love music any type really, except rap, its not really music, just bad poetry...

i seem to get allot of tickets.
i like to go to autoX and race there....one every few weeks i meet up w/ the impreza club and one more MP5, and we go for drives up canyons and stuff(last time my friend got arrested and had his STi impounded. the drives are usualy illigal and are over 100mph in cars that go that fast....not my car)

this is my second car...first car was a 1996 subaru impreza AWD. honestly i wish i still had that car...it was an AWSOME autoX car that whould beat WRX's and was all stock. if i had it my way i whould have the car back and sell my MP5 and put the diff. in to the car and swap in a WRX motor...
im obsesed with cars and im planing on attending SLCC in the fall so that i can get ASE setified...then i want to go and make little rice rockets. i like all cars and can appretiat a well built car...but i get pissed of when people think that there car is fast just becouse it can beat my stock 18second car...

i like to listen to Hip-Hop....yeah jeff that BAD peotry stuff u dont like

that day a 2.5RS and my MP5 raced down that curvey canyon part all initialD syle, i whould smoke him in the corners WAY bad....but then he whould catch up on the staits...DABM 2.0

Im all up for a spirited drive - just no stupid stuff - thankfully except for a couple of passes everyone seemed to be out having fun, driving safe. (spin)

Man those subaru guys are nuts. I swear something stupid almost always happens when they meet. The one time i went with them, a kid takes his STI offroad... Fischer and I almost get nailed by a moron in a tempo or something before the drive even starts. As much fun as it was seeing those subarus, i don't think i'll go to another one of their meets. I want one of our own dammit.

we drive w/ care, and we are not reckless...we have the cars under controll at ALL times, and it never gets out of hand....exept the time that my friend brandon fliped his WRX....and my other friend cole went of the rode in his STi....
also when we go and drive, people drive at there own paste, some people take of and we wont see them for like 5min. till we catch up, and others just stay back and drive slower,its all up to the driver and how skilled he is/how far they want to push there cars.

another reason i go w/ the imprezas is becouse....its more fun to drive with 10 people instead of 3...

When we had SVT Contour Meets we would cruise up state street from fashonplace up to downtown. Talk about awsome!! If youve never heard a Durtec V6 at full song - man is it one of the best engine noises EVER!! now times that by 8-10x!!!! It was soooooooo cool!

Thats the one thing I miss so very very badly about my SVT - the car sounded so dang good!!! the turbo on the MSP sounds good but the engine itself sounds like crap! -


I have next week essentially off from work and from then out for the next few months I work sun-teus- so I would be goood to go for just about any weekend!

Bring on the summer meets- (burnout)

not to rain on ur parade but....i think that 10 subarus w/ exaust(most have no cats..lol) and BOV....and 250+ WHP.....its just something that i cant explaing and its a little faster then a contour so its a little more fun.

but im not realy sure about cruising state for a meet......i rather go up a canyone where u can see what ur car is about...and its more fun to go around corners then in a straight line....

I agree- on some of it -

The Contours- Have you ever been in an SVT? prob not - they arnt your average contours- like an sti isnt a 2.5 RS - The last time I went driving with the guys after a meet we had a vortech'er - he was around 300 @the wheels - And I was around 200 at the wheels - fairly stock.

The Other guys had a lot more done to their cars- I was one of the slowest-
Two guys are in the process of using big bore motors (3.0L instead of 2.5) with T3/T4 turbo for one of them and a CT26 (from the supra) for the other guy - both should be near 450 crank HP -

LOL- Thats also why I miss my SVT - 99% of the people see only a contour - they have no idea!!!! SUCH a Stealth mobile!!

Let me know when you're coming back.
I'm not boosted yet because I sold EVERYTHING I had, and used the money toput a downpayment on a MAM kit with a GT28RS. I didn't want to have to deal with all the custom stuff that my "kit" would have required. So give it about a month or a month and a half
