Official NEPOC Spring Cleaning Thread

Well I got in at 9:30 so 4 hours and 45 minutes...includes a stop for gas and a quick stop for dinner. Before long I will have this drive down to 2 hours!! lol

It was great seeing everyone from the headlight painting meet and it was a pleasure to meet everyone else!! Had a blast and I can stop now too!! Thanks again to Bruce for showing me the ins and outs of changing brakes and also thanks to Mark and Robin for the great hospitality!! Oh yeah...good burgers and cake too!!

Off to bed now....will post up pics tomorrow.

(mswerd)

had a blast today! thanks to Brian, Bruce, and Chris for installing my struts and springs and rear sway bar! 2 hours for all that! It would have taken me at least 5...you guys rock! (rockon) and a BIG thanks to Robin and Mark, our hostess and host...I loved the mazda cake! :p and Oleg, you da man when it comes to detailing! my car is so purty right now...except for the two huge bugs that went splat on my hood on the way home...I'll clean 'em off tomorrow...

will post pics tomorrow. need sleep...

My car was going "thump thump thump" and the clunking from the driver's side front was getting worse, so I pulled over to make sure I didn't have a flat or something.. three of the lug nuts were totally loose, but it's not like I took them off at the meet. yeah, of course you are supposed to check the torque on them 50 miles or so after installing but I kinda just put them on and left from Rochester yesterday :P

I'll have to check all the others before I leave to go back tomorrow. Hopefully next weekend I'll have time to do my new springs and detail my car since it wouldn't have been too logical to detail it right before the long drive back to Rochester.. no time to savor the shininess before it gets ruined :P

For whatever reason I totally forgot to take pictures at the meet.

good times guys!! it was nice meeting everyone. my car looks beeaaauuutiful!!!!! it's so shiny and if i had more gas i'd take it out for another spin tonight :)

1:17 AM? Girl, what are you doing up so late. Hehe. All are most welcome. Pics to come in a few.

I had a blast! Thanks Mark and Robin and great to see all.
I love how every meet I get to spend time with friends and make new ones!

Mark and Robin, Thank-you for the Food and letting us your place to meet!

Josh, excellent pictures!

Everyone, Good to see yeah and help out with your car (washing or working on it)!

Nice Pics Josh. But just to let you guys know the rain is beading on the car today!! Wife commented on how nice the car smelled. Oh well.

Glad you made it home same Jeff. Happy to help out. Same to you Jeffrey, the suspension change went pretty smooth.

:D glad I only cleaned/conditioned my dashboard and steering wheel 8-)

.. wish me luck on the drive back to Rochester, it's sleeting and slippery here in CT and in Rochester there's "heavy snow" with accumulation of 3-5 inches this evening. .. and I'm on very high performance summer tires :P

what the hell, last winter I took my snow tires off the first wee of January, and here it is the middle of April and it'll be snowing at least through mid-week in Rochester bah

Maybe next year we should do the spring cleaning in July, hopefully there won't be wintry weather then.

Haha, I know, it was the same way for me! Great time though :D

Thanks guys for the comments on the pics. Hopefully we'll have just as great of a turnout for the Cape Cod run. That too was such a blast last year.

Sidenote: What a great week for spring break!
