Official NEPOC Spring Cleaning Thread

I can be there pretty early since I'm not far away...but at this point I don't have much work to do...unless someone knows how to change a timing belt.

I've done my timing belt three times o_O

it's not a whole lot of fun just due to the really tight clearances on that side of the engine. Replacing the tensioner, idler, and especially the tensioner spring is a painful process. I still think it's worth doing yourself and not paying a shop a ton of money to do it, but it is a time consuming effort and you will bleed.

Would you be interested in helping me??? I'm not afraid of a little blood...a grinder on the other hand...call me buddafingers.

Yeah I could definitely help out, it's just nothing I look forward too.. probably because I just did mine the first week of January haha it was so cold. I have to do mine yet again when I get a new water pump because I forgot about that last time.

Yeah, I'll prolly do the water pump at the same time. Mark was talking about doing his also...but it all depends on what everyone else is doing that day. I don't want take too much time out of your day...but I can get there pretty early.

Who's going from CT? and going on Sunday to UConn?
If possible I'd like to meet up with anyone coming from CT and head to MA together.
Anyone interested? I'm coming from Bristol (heading up I-84 or I could take I-91)

I'll be leaving from Thomaston so I'll be going down Route 6 from Thomaston through Bristol to 84.

ill be going (methinks) from meriden. Our usual meeting point when we head up that way for CT people is exit 69 off 84 at the commuter lot.

I wont be coming all the way back to meriden after the spring cleaning thing though, ill be staying up by storrs

(hand) I will be anemic. Didn't bleed at the last meet though. I think it's just the EGR valve.
