Official ARSCCA Pts 1 Thread

It definitely was a fun course...I'm not terribly disappointed with how I did - other than my choosing not to do the "optional" slalom on the last bit of the course on my first run, I improved each run. I had a great run going on my third run, but kept clipping cones. I think I finished 10th out of 16 in SM.

I'm just glad my times kept getting faster. Up until the last run when I had a re-run 1 minute after finishing a run with half the slalom cones downed. Heat soaked like mad and almost spun out after hitting the pot hole.

It seemed a lot easier to read the course than last year, picking up pointer cones and all. Still need to take 10 seconds off my time to compete locally with the sti's in my class :(

1st in STS.

16th in Pax.

I had a good day.

I now have a benchmark for the Integra... :)

Now the work begins....

Yeah talk to Tom about how much smoke usually comes from your braking, he was janking on you so bad before the event. Even though I think you shut him up out there on that course.

BTW, I just re-read my earlier posts, and I don't want anyone get me wrong, I'm not trying to whine about the car or make excuses. Steve was still faster than me, carrying a cone. I've got some catching up to do.
:p

I apologize for not making it out. I will definately be at the next one. We had an issue arise that I was needed in the morning for and then the storms came shortly thereafter so I pretty much made the executive decision that I wouldn't make it out. I see that many a good times were made and congrats on those... especially I guess with BigB making 1st in STS if I read correctly.

Just out of sheer curiousity and to understand better what I don't know... what does SM, STS, etc. mean? I can only assume perhaps Stock/Modified.... maybe?

its classing of the vehicles go check out the SCCA rule book it will explain what each class is and what the rules for the class are.

I was very pleased with how well the car felt yesterday. I finished getting the car together at 4am, new tires I've never tried, and a quick alignment.

Kevin almost tried to kill me when I told him I ran a 67.xxx, in jest of course.

Glad to see alot of you out there, and meet some other forum members.

And we were all glad to see that you were still alive wayne ;)

Dale:
*S = xStock (Super, A, B through H)
ST* = Street Touring, ie STS, STS2, STX and STU (Street Tire classes)
*SP = Street Prepared
SM/2 = Street Modified
Then you move up into Prepared and Modified.
There's a FAQ in the motorsports section that Wayne (apexlater) did that explains at a basic level what kind of mods you're looking at for each class.
