OEM Tires on the MP3

I've run into a bit of bad luck. I just discovered a screw in my tire!! I am checking around the local tire shops and I get a new for around 200, but we are talking 4 days to ship it. I have checked TIRERACK.COM and THETIREWAREHOUSE.COM. Has anyone replaced the OEMs with OEM? (that doesn't sound right) Also I checked Dunlop's site and found something very interesting. For the SP SPORT 9000, they have the 215/45zr17 as the size for our car. However, my tires are 205/45zr/17.
Back to my question, has anyone found these tires on the web?

Dunlop sp 9000

this is strange that the dunlop site says that. I checked their site months ago, and it was right then. Maybe now their counting the new mazdaspeed tires....I dunno

this is our tire

205/45ZR17 88W.

I've been interested in finding these tires as well. I love em, but i can't find them anywhere either. They are becoming more popular, so you'd thing they would be around. Heck even the new Vibe comes with Dunlops SP9000's. Someone got them somewhere....let us know.

screws should be an ez fix...head to your local tire shop and have them patch it up. ive had screws in my other cars before and patched it up w/ no problems. shouldnt run you more than 20 bucks.

If you go to Discount tire ( if you have one ) They will repair your tire for free!!!.... About the SP 9000's the only one that I was able to get was a 205/40/17. The 40 is a little shorter but not enough to notice. They were $160 a piece. I called to 3 different tire shops in AZ and none of them could get the 205/45/17's in a SP9000.

If you do repair the tire....

Make sure they take the tire off the rim and put a patch on the inside of the tire. That is the proper way to fix it. If they want to shove in one of those mushroom things from the outside take it somewere else.

Thanks for your replies. I called the TireRack and they actually have that tire in stock. Not sure why it doesn't reflect on their website or magazine ads. BTW its $150 US including shipping, about 4 days to deliver.

I emailed them as well. I figure shipping to me is going to be outrageous.

Anyone know any Canadian stores to buy these tires? Online would be preferred

i got a flat the 2nd week i had the car, (i hit a deep pothole) i had a lot of trouble getting it too. i had to got to NTB they got it in 3 days the tire cost 189$$ puls i called dunlop and told them how they only had 2000 miles on them so they picked up 50% of the tire so i had to pay half plus mounting it ended up cosrting around 140 with tax and all.

I patched my tire with a plug. It has held up just fine for 4000 miles now. It is safe for all radial tires. I have a picture of the package around here somewhere I could find it if you want to see what it says about radial tires.

about the 45/215/17

I went to go get my tires replaced and at the store the alternative of 45/215/17 and 45/205/17 so i decided to go with the 45/215/17 and they fit fine.... Wider is Better i am also on OEM rims that came with and its not the Dunlops but that shouldnt matter! just a lil info for all you guys.
