Anyone buy the remote start and install it yourself?? Im just curious as to how easy it is to install?? I'm thinking Mazda wasn't stupid and made it so the dealer just has to pop it into a pre-wired connector and charge and hour labor.

I have had an aftermarket remote start in our 6 and loved it but the fob was big and since the key for our 7's is already rather large I would like to keep the starter fob small.

I didn't install mine but I had a pro do it...and it wasn't easy. If you're confident and had experience installing car electronics, I'm sure you might pull it off without a hitch but still, I think it's a pain in the arse. Well, good luck and let us know if you did it yourself and I'll have you install a Sirius receiver hahaha

I can install anything with the right directions and tools but it's a matter of do i want to?? I would just like to see how difficult it really is to install, maybe the installation instructions or something.

Dude, the remote start is a $300 dealer option, why didn't you just have them install it? If your spending $25,000-$30,000 on a car, why wouldn't you spend the extra few bucks?????

I do not live in US. (glare)
And EU cars do not get a remote start - dealer option.
So I will get it installed in a respectable (dealer approved) facility,
but i do need instructions...
