OEM Projector output

Im curious if any of our European, Asian, or Australian members who have the OEM projectors(xenon or halogen) could post output pictures against a wall from roughly 15-25 feet back. Im trying to decide whether to refrofit my lights or try and aquire a set of OEM projectors. Any help would be appreciated!

i have standard halogen light cases fitted but swapped out the bulbs for some 8000k HID conversions, fitted great and theres no blindin offset beam, ill try and get a photo tonight for you and post it here on the forums

Chris, I would love to see how yours looks as even the halogen reflectors have a surprisingly sharp cutoff for reflectors. But for mine I will be sticking to projectors of some sort. Whether it be Bi-xenons if I retrofit or the OEM units if they fit my needs.

PGTBrow, I usually am not on 70 very much. Occasionally I'm on 81 but I mostly just put around town. Mine is Spirited Green so it stands out

As you can see mine illuminates to the offset on the left since mine is RHD car

EDIT: This is 8000k slightly blue colouring to the beam, about as legal for the cars yearly safety test as you can get lol
These are H4's dual xenons btw since our halogen bulbs have hi/lo in the same bulb, if you go for the projectors they have seperate hi/lo bulbs

Thanks. Not as bad as some but i can still see substantial glare above the cutoff. If i go with the OEM setup then yes i will have sepetate hi and lo beams. Luckily the hi beams are 9005 so i can use 9011 HIR1 bulbs for double the output at the same 65w. If i retrofit it will be with a bixenon projector which utilizes a hinged cutoff shield for lo and high beam operation.

its a shame you dont get the projectors as standard, tbh in the model i own now as of 2009 the projector became standard aswell as for the 1.3 takuya model, if i had known i would have looked for newer model and sold my projectors lol never mind though eh, glad to help in your desicion though

Now if only we had a European contact to sort through the salvage yards and pick up some OEM projectors......

Ditto on that. Chris, maybe you could keep an eye out for local ads for anybody selling them or any wrecked ones being parted out for us?

yea i can do that ive only seen the odd few in salvage yards or scrap yards as we call them lol but if i come across any then i shall let you guys know of the price and postage, nothing more, nothing less

Even the non projectors with the clear reflectors would be nice haha. But yea, that would be awesome if you did that!

Thats fine by me, wont be too big of a deal on these country roads lol.

It should generally be fine for the halogen reflectors since reaiming would take care of that. The projectors would require a shield change.

ok so i said id have a look around and i found this for you guys, its a sport model 1.5, so comes with a few extras over the standard car, the angry bumper projector lights are just a few ill post it in lounge as well for everybody
