My 03 Protege5 with 130K miles is still running the original springs, shocks and struts. They seem fine to me but logic says they HAVE to be worn and there's a nagging voice in my head to replace them. I poked around on here and read that the GR2's are a good equal replacement. I guess I'm just looking for more confirmation that the GR2's are the best choice for the money. I'm not looking to upgrade...I'm just keeping the maintenance up to date to ensure proper handling and avoid wear/damage to other parts. Also, given the mileage, what other shock/strut related parts should I check or replace at the same time? Endlinks have already been done and I'm debating whether or not to do the strut mounts/bearing. I'll be doing the work myself but my suspension knowledge is weak so any input is appreciated.
