I had a hard time finding info on how to get aftermarket attachments on my OEM bars, thought this might help out a few folks with Yakima accessories.
I just installed my bike attachments onto my OEM crossbars.
The Yakima Mighty Mounts 23H (#03523) Fit perfectly on the OEM crossbars.
I was able to install both my Yakima High Rollers.
NOTES:
  • Had to mount them backwards so I can still open the trunk
  • I also cut a piece of innertube and used it as a "buffer" for the rear wheel tray (front of the car), this is needed because it would slide a bit sideways. No worries though, this is because you need to use a different bolt for the rear wheel tray.

Test drove with two pretty burly mountain bikes, got it up to 75MPH on the highway, and it was stable as it ever was on my previous car.

Thanks for looking

Yep, I've got a curt hitch and hitch rack on order. I'm too short to be climbing up there all the time! Lol

How do you like the stock roof rack?

They're pretty good. Nothing too special about them. They're pretty sturdy and the cross bars aren't too arched. They do tend to whistle/howl a little bit at 30mph when the front bar is set to it's most forward position, but it's not annoying and doesn't happen much because my driving isn't spent mostly at 30mph.

Thanks for the reply! I'm debating on getting the stock bars or the Thule Aeroblade Edge bars. Cost is the main factor then noise level. Not sure you can attach a fairing to the stock bars to reduce to noise level.

It is not annoying or loud enough to justify putting a faring on it. The threshold for the noise is very small, so a little faster or slower than 30mph solves that problem.
