Occasional loss of power

We experience occasional loss of power CX-9, Grand touring during driving, as well as starting from parked position. This has proven to be dangerous sometimes. The solution is to open to hood, gently check and wiggle the battery terminal, and the car starts again. Sometimes even a gentle wiggle of tap on battery terminal helps restart the car. We verified the electrical cables are snugly secured on the terminal and battery is securely placed in the housing there is no shake, or vibration while driving.

We had noticed the leak on our previous battery terminal (Interstate battery from Costco) and we suspected it was the bad battery. We then went to dealer and got OEM Mazda battery, but we still have the same problem.

HAs anyone noticed the same issue and if you found a resolution?

If the terminals are secured, there should be no wiggle room. Was there any work done recently? Maybe loose grounding cable?
