OBX Headers!?

Ok so i need some suggestions..
i was on da forum instead of studyin for my test tomorrow like always lol (rockon) lmao
soo yea i saw some OBX headers for sale then i started searching for prices online and there not bad at all and its dat time of da month for me where i have to do a mod (alright) sooo does anyone have the OBX headers? any videos? whats the chance of me loosing my great sound and developing a rice (eekfu) sound (boom05) dnt want dat at all! maybe a deeper or louder would be slightly ok but kinda want to keep it similar to wat i have it now!

FYI, the Mazda3 only has one header, not headers.

cant afford it YET!!! soon thought hopefully by 09 summer! but i want something to do next so im thinkin headers since it wasnt too much well for obx.. then if i turbo sell em...

yea neither have i! and da worse part is when i think OBX i think Honda=Rice... so idk hopin some1 proves me wrong!

I wouldn't think their products are rice, I'm running OBX CBE and the set up sounds nice as well as the performance. I have draxas header which I will be installing next weekend. WooHoo!

bc my friend has headers and exhaust and his car is way louder than mine! mine sounded stock next to his lol but i like not being too loud!

From what I've heard it will get very LOUD. I got my header for 280 new and then I also decided to get them thermal coated chrome.

yeaaa thats what i keed hearing as well!... idk if i want mine to get too loud well who know lets c...

depends if you keep a cat or not in all honesty. it was obnoxiously loud with out any cats now that i am runnin a high flow its not bad until i hammer it.

I've heard a few cars running the draxas set up and they didn't sound that loud. I wonder if the CBE plays a part in how it sounds as well.

well im running my CBE with a highflow exhaust! and i dont plan on gettin rid of it! im might give it a try some time soon and get the headers and if it gets too loud i'll put a resinator on... or something to make it less rice

when i said high flow i meant the catyltic converter not the exhaust itself all a/m cbe are considered high flow. the header does not replace the second cat only the primary so you have a nice flowing header dumping the exhaust into a small choked off oem cat then going into a nice flowing exhaust. thats why i ordered a bigger id high flow converter and put that inline it keeps the noise down and the inspections legal enough that they don't know i should have 2 cats and that the one i have is in the wrong place.

yea i know u were talking about i just wrote that super quick i was in school lol but i do have a high flow cat! got it when i ordered my CBE! so pretty much what you are saying is that when i get headers if i do... the 1st cat dats right after the headers i should replace? i hnt looked much into it but i know i dnt have the resignator and i have a highflow cat... im gonna take a look at it today..

no i am saying that the header replaces the primary cat its gone no more cat so you will also probably toss a CEL it can be taken care of but its a pain. i just wanted you to know about the secondary cat and what your options were.
