Obx header

A friend of mine have a honda and he installed a deader for it but he have to weld the cat. To the header because the check engine light was messing around since he did that he doesnt have any problems at all with. But i want to know if a can do the same with my protege? Would i have any problems with the emissions?

I really want a header on my car!! Anybody can help me!!

Welding the cat to the header? lmfao. Anywho im not sure if its the same for a 1.6 but with my 2.0 you use the nonfouler trick on the second O2 sensor to stop the CEL.

Is by using like a special adapter for the header???

Google it. You take two spark plug nonfoulers (generic part like $4 at any parts store), drill the opening in one out to 1/2", screw the drilled one onto the second O2 sensor then the non drilled one onto the drilled one and then screw it into the bung on the header. Basically it is a spacer for the O2 sensor it positions it away from the flow of exhaust so it is only picking up a low level of exhaust gases.
