Id buy it right now f I had the cash...

and spicy the answer is yes. basically the same thing as the racing mazda header as it was built for the same platform as that one but the RM has extra bungs welded in already, I think that one has enough stock though.

hm....sell ractive axle back for money for header?


oooh need to make decision if boost is in my future soon.

the thing is, for that price you can afford to have it for a while, and then get boost later, enjoy the headers, let them tide you over till u can get a enough for a turbo

Go to probetalk I posted about this a while ago. If you go to probe talk aton of them bought it already and said it is really good for the money. I am planning on getting that header.

Before you all get excited, make sure it is REALLY available. I believe the one person who got it (awdlax???) got a prototype header. OBX has had the header listed for almost 1.5 years and nobody can ever buy them. There is a part number, you can pay, but its always out of stock. They were even talking about discontinuing it (even when it didn't exist! ). So if they are really making this, nice.

Its nice to see a cheap header for once. I don't understand why imports need to pay $350-$500 for ONE four-cylinder header when domestics can get both of them for much less than that.

agreed. awdlax was the only one to ever recieve the obx header. ive seen it in person, looks no different than the racingmazda header. at least i knew i could get the header from racingmazda.com. remember, cheaper is not always better.

sometimes cheaper is better. from what I have seent his is the header originally made for the probe that will fit our cars with little to no modification, only mod I have heard needed is the bolt holes changed.

If that is all true then it means basically it is the same header as the prototype that awd got but that one was considered specifically for our cars, maybe it had an extra bung or something but that can always be added also.

So in the end I would think it doesnt mater if it is "out" for ours cars if the same thing is out for another car but worx on ours.

I may just do this....

well first before you would spend 500 on AWR you can spend like a max of 380 and get the racing mazda header, it may take a while longer as I think they are making them now and sending out GB orders only but that is also more than 100 difference.

Also yes this is legit, if your doing an ebay purchase you need to be really carefull which exact header it is as some need modifications like maybe an extra bung or the flange bolt holes changed. Probably be best to see if there is a site that has em, I think on guy on that probe forum found a place for 238 plus shipping.....

That's what i did!! and found it on ebay...it a damn good price..but it will give you the CEL...

*I believe all header's for the p5 will give you a CEL!!

Yes this is a direct bolt on for our car!!

make sure you buy the cel fix with it...

That is easily fixed w/ a 23dollar (includes shipping) resistor.I will get the web adress later!!

I already won the bid..on one of these headers..i am waiting for the seller to email me w/ all specifics....

Yes it is readily available..Many people from probetalk have already purchased this header for thier 2.0....

And i think the price is very fair....

I think this is a good idea..I see no reason why it should give ya some good gains..plus i believe it can be bolted on to the 2nd cat!!

Are you sure its a direct bolt-on? If you bought one for the Probe specifically, it most likely will not be a direct bolt on. The EGR probably doesn't line up.

no youll have to tug and pull on the egr pipe like a motherfucker...trust me...and the header will give you a CEL

as he said already all headers will give u a cel, that is why there is a cel fix, since I am in Az where one of the retailers carriers this fix it is not an issue and should not be considered when deciding ona header as you will get one whichever way u go, unless you go shorty and keep the 1st cat but that would defeat the purpose.

I am going through my budget now to see how soon I can get this.

edit: oh yah for 230 shipped compared to the non GB price of the RM header at 380+ for 150 savings I will tug as much as I need to on that egr or Ill even work on modding it to fit comfortably, whatever, my labor on my car is hella cheaper than 150 =P

I think the Rm header is going to be better quality, maybe, but for my application this is much much more cost effective.

no the header quality is no different, ALTHOUGH awdlax has what he thinks is an exhaust leak. i cant tell you if that is a result of the header or his installation, because i wasnt there when he installed it.

are you talking about apex for the cel fix?
