obx header snapped in half!

im driving home from the gym and all of a sudden i hear a big noise and i pull over quick. i pop my hood and saw my headers snapped in half! i had no choice but to drive home, so it was the loudest drive home i have ever done.

i called obx, and they do not want to give me new headers because i did not send in the warrenty card, even though i have it right in front of me. obx is gay. i have pics ill have them up soon.

^^Good on you for stepping up. It looks like the weld just didnt penetrate thoroughly. It should be a quick fix for a half decent welder

Do you have any aftermarket motor mounts installed?

yea the side inserts from awr. i got the weapon R engine damper today. unfortuantly it is missing a few things so i cant put it on. im going to have to wait.

I don't remeber weather a front mount is suposed to help with the extra stress and vibrations on the header or not... I guess you would get less movement with front mount, and maybe a flex pipe section on the mid pipe?

damn, that's a clean break too, no shearing. You sur that was ever welded!? The motor mounts should lessen the amount of flex, but increase vibrations. However...damn. That sucks.
