i live in texas, its hot, is it a good idea to get my sunroof tinted? i cant really think of a time when i would need it to be without a tint, but toss out a few ideas if you ahve any

there has been a long thread on this already, try searching for it, but I live in Texas, and most professional tint shops say you shoudl not, it COULD cause your sunroof to crack.

Not to mention....that is why they put a retractable sun shade on the moonroof....if the sun is too bright....pull the shade shut.

It seems I'm in the minority here. My brain just doesn't accept the idea that the sunroof would crack because it has tint on it.

The dealer had my car tinted including the sunroof (at my suggestion) and so far no problems. The only time I pull the shade is when it's gonna be parked in the sun for a while, otherwise its always pushed back to let the sunshine in, or at least 60% of it

i dont wanna have the shade up all the time, because then i get no light...

I agree with you.

If I had one (which I don't) I think it would be the ONLY window I'd tint - Somebody'll have to SHOW me that tint film caused a broken panel.
