NSX-R vs Skyline GT-R who would win 1/4 mile

actually they are pretty damn heavy in comparison to other japanese supercars. at least I think that 3700lbs is pretty heavy. Also the NSX-R has nothing on the AWD R33. The fastest AWD car in the world right now.

well they also dont weigh s*** and rev to 9k... id say thats plenty of power. ive seen 300ps NSX's rip Skylines to pieces

Umm...what? Bud, they aren't that fast stock..An Evo MR would or '05 STi would give it a run for its money in a straight line. An R34 VII However, is a different story. People seem to have this holy grail idea about skyline's and how they are so fast..They aren't stock..Face it. Moreover, 276HP (All "GTR" skylines until the VII R34) with a car that weights 3.5k lbs..Vs. a car with about 220~240whp and weighs (just for the sake of arguement 2800lbs)...there would be no contest. I'm sure the NSX tears its to pieces on a course as well. Fastest AWD car in the world? *cough* Buggatti EB110SS, Lamborghini Gallardo, etc.. *cough*

Also, top three sports car's of all time according to Road and Track:

BMW M3 (E30 and E46CSL Highlighted)
Lotus Espirit Turbo
Acura NSX

Throw a (Hondata ECU) on that Beast. NSX and NSX-T's run anywhere from 13.2-13.5 Stock in the 1/4mile!!!! also order some Mugen parts for her!!!! "hella 3rd Gear Vtec Yo"

no no no no. not stock. lol. I know that. the world record for fastest AWD car is held by the R33 GTR(which is my fav skyline) at 7.671sec in the 1/4mile. Owned by HKS

Hmm..and can you drive that on the street? no. Thats also not the fastest AWD car though..OWNED BY AWD Outlaw... 7 seconds? try sub 5's..

I do apologize for this threadjack..please resume normal transmission.

pirana I want your car between two pieces of whitebread.

the fastest AWD "streetable" car in the world is a twin engine TT. 2 -420bhp 1.8t motors run by the same gearbox. GOOD BYE!!

In that case "quickest" since fastest means speed, not time. ;) Plus not bad for a 270hp car having a top speed of 165mph.

Some Sites say a 1997 NSX-T's Top speed is 175mph????

yeap, but mine is 95. In 97 they upped the size to 3.2L and 20 extra horses and added the 6th gear tranny, hence the 175mph.

Ohhh...Still not bad!!!!! How's the power coming from an STi???? I know on topend the NSX-T would kill a STi from freeway rolls!!!!

the skyline would get him on the jump...shoulda... but like half a second later the nsx would catch up and beat it. AWD arent that good in drag (read from either car and driver mag. or motortrend cant remember) its because AWD get almost instant grip, maybe a second of a screech in the tires but still almost full grip. FF and FR will let the engine rev up to its powerband and theoretically accelerate faster. (Again all this information was taken from either car and driver or motortrend)

*edit* "AWD arent that good in drag"<-------- that when compared to a car with similiar power and weight

I couldnt possibly agree with you more... Anything besides the Vspecs and highly tuned/ modified skylines are dogs... open them up however, and you have a different kind of beast.

Well, I guess I'am qualified to compare the STi and the NSX, the STi was a beast from a stand still, it will snap your neck if you are not prepared. Mine was putting 308whp, and in the track it would feel incredible during take off, but thats it...it actually felt gradually slowing down, and most cars would catch up or were about to. I did manage high 12's, but with very low mph. In comparison, a friend of mine has a Neon SRT-4 with upgraded turbo, intercooler, injectors, etc. he only managed a low 13.01et but at over 115mph, where my 12.85et was at 105mph, which in the highway it turned into a STi slayer. I havent done any serious racing on the NSX, but it feels like it pulls for ever, my first kill was an 02 Camaro SS, which was left behind easily...but havent compared to any turbo car yet.
