Northland motor oil.

I want to schedule an oil change at a local Tuffy (its a regional auto maintenance place with a good reputation for fair prices and good customer service) because the Mazda dealership is to hell and gone from my house. The manager told me they use Northland motor oil (I'm 90% sure that's right). Has anyone heard of it and is it OK? This is for an 06 Mazda 5 with the same 2.3 liter engine as the Mazda 3.

Northland is good from what I've heard. It's most likely people just saying it's good because we lived in the town it was made in. Just a conventional oil. Pretty small plant. My old roommate used to use the stuff. I got him to switch to AMSOIL and he hasn't looked back.
the above string also points to the UOA (used oil analysis) here

Your car comes with semi-synthetic oil from the factory. I wouldn't switch to a conventional.

Your Tuffys must be different than mine because all the ones around here are rip-off artists.
