Actually a whole lot of rx8s. I think there were only 2 rx7s last meet and thats including me lol.

Nice FD you had there bud (cool)
What kind of times do you run?

BTW, im one of the guys who were in that silver MSP (Speed3.5)

well, as long as they aren't fading noticeably, you'll be able to get away with just getting better pads! =d

They are OK for now (Hawk pads all around) with brembo rotors. Its not yet an issue as im only driving it around town but once i increase boost, i think i will need to upgrade.
Im debating either using 94 FD calipers (4-pot) which i have them or smth else. I've seen the Mazda 6 ones (bolt on to PGTs) and im not convinced yet as the pad doesnt sit full face on the rotor just like Mazda 3s or MS3s, it only covers the outside half of it.
We'll see how it goes :)

Hehe thanks man. You should have brought your car (i forgot what you had) but that MSP was nice.

I never tracked my car but with good driving and my mods should do low 12s.

Im actually selling my wheels soon if you know anyone who might be interested in them. They are gram lights 57optimise 17x8.5 front and 17x9.5 rear.

Damn thats nice. You need a mazdaspeed oil cap though to complete the look :D

Nah but you live in FL and only visiting here? Or you just have your cars stored in FL for the time being?

Thank you guys :)
I moved to FL a few months ago and i only came back to visit family and friends. Wished I had brought the car but i had a few things to haul and the truck felt more suitable.

The Mazdaspeed oil cap looked nice but at this moment im not worrying about engine bay, just need the car to run smooth and maybe upgrade the intercooler to a crossflow core instead of top to bottom for more cooling effect.

O cool.

I wanna move out of jersey but honestly there is no state thats a neutral state (in terms of mother nature) that i can be happy with along with actually having fun living there.

I do wanna road trip to florida though, maybe in spring.

How long is the drive?

I've driven from NJ to FL and back more than 12 times and my best is 17 hours (total of 1216 miles) with only 4 short stops which 3 were for gas and one in a rest area. I might have spend a total of 30 minutes on these stops, the rest just driving 5-10 above limit and a handful of 100-120mph cruises. (no sleep that day either)
FL is beautiful and coming from NJ, i must admit i like it here (FL) better. Of course you'll miss other stuff like snow or NYC, AC but there are other things you cant do in NJ and you have them in FL. The weather is nice (no hurricanes as of yet) but even if they happen, the houses are made out of concrete blocks (no wood)
It all depends how you want to adopt your lifestyle tho!

As far driving fast, you better have a V1 or Passport cause you'll never know where the cops hide especially at night. I got busted in 2006 in SC for doing 96 on 70 and it costed me $360 (radar didnt pick up). Good thing the cop wasnt 1/4 mile more ahead as i was going to top off the car on that nice pavement (jail should i say).

If you plan on driving down to FL you better have someone else with you to drive otherwise as XxaltezzaxX said it will become boring and tiring especially if its your first long drive ever.
After all these miles i've put into long drives, i have no problem anymore, i can drive from NJ to CA without a sweat (of course with sleep time too, FL-NJ is one i drive without it)

lol nah of course i wont be going alone.

I wanna go to FL for miami. And because i have a new fascination for sight seeing now and a good 20 hour drive (extra time included for getting lost), is a good way to satisfy that hunger of mine.

Plus i never been to FL and the girls in miami are soo freaking hot.

ack...i met one of you at wayne mazda this past friday, and we got rushed into saying goodbye because i was getting pushed out of my parking spot after my warranty servicing, so i completely forgot to ask what your forum SN was. where are you, steve? :D
