Hi, Guys, I have been an MX-3.com member for several years, just found out about this group. I drive a 92 MX-3 GS. I just finished swapping in a Millenia 2.5 and am now doing suspension work. I'd love to exchange experiences.

Jeez, this is an old thread! Maybe we can liven it up!

oh man i wish Mx3's were a tad more popular.....but it will never happen.

Even when they were semi popular in the early 2000's these boards im sure had little activity :(

There pretty popular around me. There are 4 KL swapped MX3's in my town alone. Not to mention like a 13k mile original MX3 RS that one of the KL swapped guys owns that he uses as a winter car. lol

kulluminati777, I think if you removed all the badges and stickers, I think it would look alot cleaner and better looking and to get rid of the fake hood scoop. Clean up the little bit of bodywork (rust on quarters and rock chips) and throw the Rays wheels back on with some meaty tires, you would have a very nice looking MX3. Overall its not too bad, but all the chrome and stickers/badges make it a little too ricey. You clean it up some and you will have one of nicest ones I've seen. Sorry, if I seem rude at all, I just personally don't like chrome or badging, keep it simple and let the car speak for itself! Good luck with future progress

Im tryin to get a CF hood as we speak and I actually just debadged the whole car and redid the rear lip lol Piant and body work will wait till I have the funds to do it all at once...maybe this time next year.

That is a pretty sexy mx3 right there, nice work. Everyone keeps telling me mx3's have had there day? I sure hope not haha i havent even had mine for 6 months

Hey thanks man,

Well I wouldnt say "had there day"

Because A) they never were popular so they NEVER had there day lol
B) what you make out of your MX3 experience depends on how much you learn about the car. It is an old car and problems will arise. It just depends on how you handle it.

C) Ill warn u now there is no aftermarket tuning type stuff for the MX3...there was a time when there was a little bit but NOWHERE near as the 350Z, STI, EVO real popular cars like that.
D) There are a few parts out there that you will get used second hand but there still good quality like mazdaspeed, SRD, and a few other names im forgetting. A few companys that still make new parts like Ksport, Ceika, Fidanza, and of course a few others im forgetting lol

This is a good web forum if you like mazdas in general but MX-3.com/probetalk.com is where most of us hang out. There is PAGES and PAGES of info and how-to's on the car to make your MX3 happy ;)

I only own the MX3 because i feel its a beauty. Ill still have one when im 70 lol regardless if its a popular car. The styling and Just the fact that its a rare car EASY to work is on is why im a fan :)

But be warned to own a MX3 you have to have another car. Im not saying its unreliable but it is an old car and work will need to be done here and there. Its just good to be able to still get around. F*** it have 2 MX3's (detect)

New on been on mx-3.com for a bit :)

Got a 92 mx-3 RS project and I also own a 2012 mazda 3 skyactive!

Glad to be here will post pics of it soon!
