Nocturnalspeed's Welcome & Build Thread

man you really making it come together, congrats man!!

i think i pay mine off completely in February if my calculations are correct. Then comes to the time do i trade it in, or keep it?

IF i trade it, i'll be trading for a CX-7, in which my fiance will be driving and i'll take her 09 Lancer GTS (blue). That car has nothing to me worth putting money into, so that's "adult" path.

IF i keep it, well.....I'll probably de-tune it and try to go for a mileage record and drive it til the wheels fall off. :)

ANYWAY!!!! Car seems to be coming along great. Good luck and i'll keep checking in and see how it's going.

Definitely keep it! No payment is the "smart" path. If you ever start stripping her down let me know first! (wiggle)

Sounds like things are coming along pretty well :)

Is the block getting built too or is that for down the road...I see all your headwork and components and 800cc injectors??

Block is on hold ATM. I figured I tune the stock engine and ride it till it blows. I'm in no hurry whats so ever.

My first real step is to finish getting the parts that I have listed on the first page and installing most of the bolt on's on my car. I'll be refurbishing the T25 and maxing it out @ 14 psi w/ the Haltech. If the tune and dyno is successful, then I'll enjoy it while she last :)

FYI: Marc (low_psi) is currently port matching and getting the head built atm.

Haven't purchased the injector's just yet. As soon as the P.E.P 3" downpipe arrives on my door step I'll be ordering the QTP cutout and a few other things off the list.

Things for checking in on her guys.

Everytime your car is looking better and better.

your doing a good job filling in your brothers shoes!

Thanks guys, have to give all the thanks to my brother so far.. he's been doing most of all the down n' gritty work. You can tell it's all to familier when we start to work on the MSP, he goes through the job with little to no hiccups. Car started right up with no problems. Took it for a little test drive and boy did she go... I went through 1st, half way through 2nd and she pulled very nicely with NO lag. I'm sure you guys heard me say it over and over about how the car had been acting weird. Everytime it went into boost it would feel as the car had a huge leak.

Drove it all through Houston sunday and held boost all through out everytime I got on her. I'm really happy with the way she's moving now. I feel like I can actually hold my own now and stop getting intimidated due to the major boost leak I was having. What a MAJOR difference the car felt with the addition of hard pipes. HIGHLY! recommend for anyone still rocking the rubber piping (I was probably the only one).

My next step in this journey is to figure out the Haltech and get my car tuned. Once we can get the car tuned and it's set to go, we'll be ready to install the STEEDSPEED, (Refurbished) T25, Downpipe and QTP electronic dump.

i like how you used a hole saw for cutting the radiator support instead of just cutting notches...looks much cleaner
and im not sure if your going to have fitment issues or not, but ive heard that the HID fog light bulbs wont work because they are too long or something like that..

^ Come to think of it you might be right. I'll check on that the next time I'm @ my brothers.
Thanks for the heads up. (boom05)

Finished wiring up David's Haltech unit this afternoon....
