No Throttle Response

Greetings everyone. I apologize in advance if this has already been discussed somewhere else on the forum at some point. Here's the lowdown:

Model: 2007 Speed3
Mileage: ~44,000 km
Mods: Mazdaspeed factory CAI, nothing else
Location: Canada
Tempurature: -2 Celcius

I drove the car to work this morning (~ 20 min drive), no issues at all. After work, myself and a few colleagues drove to a near by pub (~ 3-5 min drive), again, no issues. After leaving the pub, I start the car up and check engine light is on, and I am barely getting any throttle response. I completely floored it to get about 2500 - 3000 RPM. I turn the car off and restart it after 1-2 minutes and throttle response is completely normal.....check engine light still on however. Drive car home (~20 min drive) and all seems normal with the exception of the check engine light. What the hell? I'll probably need to wait until next week before I can bring it into the dealer and see what code is threw, but I'm wondering if any one has experienced this and knows what may be causing the issue. Any help would be great.

codes can be read at parts stores for free. An ECU reset could possibly get rid of the code. I'd have to see the code to know what possibly happened.

Have no idea, but I've had weird problems with my 06' 3i. Randomly started idling below 500rpm... Almost cut off on me at stop lights.

sounds like maybe you have a bad cold start valve or something in those lines.

CEL code number please. Any auto parts store, as stated above, can give that to you. With the number and input from this board comes wisdom and . . . solution to problem.
