I have had all kinds of reactions and dumb things said about my car. It usually is mistaken as something else, infact one time I had a spotted thread about my car but the title was " Gray wingless EVO, lots of CF and FMIC" lol then I had to convince the guy that posted it that my car wasnt an EVO. Most people are like its a Protege it's slow, but a couple of summers ago I proved them wrong hehe. Now I'm known as "That girl who has the Mazdaspeed that used to be badass and really fast" Its funny, people I dont even know come up to me and are like OMG I love your car blah blah blah. Thankfully most people who know anything about cars know that my car is an unbadged, wingless, lipless MSP, and the ones that dont are in for a surprise-kinda not really lol

ive even gotten 4 door skyline.. evo.. and the best look i ever got was sitting at a 4 way stop and the tricked out protege5 looks at me taps his friend on the shoulder points at my car with a smile and i took off! and they gave me that quick lil 2 toot honk and took off too!

The GLH was alright... now the GLHS had some huevos. But either, nobody expected it. My SHO got me more attention than the MSP. As long as we're on the topic of little known, fast, econo-ish cars, I'd do just about anything for a Spirit R/T in good condition.

Yep, fired up about one again too after the recent SCC article reminded me about them. I worked for Thrifty Car Rental from 89-91 and we had the CSX-T, and my manager wound up with a Spirit R/T. They rocked.

damn your lucky....Honda's around my area, arent even correctly modded, just a welded on useless coffee can and some ugly as wheel. Its pretty bad when you tell people who own a Mazda they automaticlly say "oooooh yeah that little boy going zoom zoom zoom, i love that commercial" lol bastards

no one around my area knows what a msp is.the only time people even see a protege is if its old people driving an es or lx.sometimes when im at stop lights people are like "hey what type of car is that" im like its a mazda speed protege. they reply "looks really good,never even heard of it".

then people really flip in amazment when you tell them it has a turbo in it.lol
