No Oil?!

Make a leak yourself. You don't want to see the repair bill.

If you drove without the oil your engine is ******. Might not show up now but it will need a full tear down to determine the damage. Most likely rod bearings, cylinder walls are scored, valves burnt etc etc etc..

the engine is toast
this all happened because the car went to jiffy lube, simple as that

Soo there is little stuff wrong with the engine.. they said something about the cam and beearings in the lower engine.. hmm - dont know anything to cars.. what does this mean :) ??? thats what has been making the ticking/knocking noise

you are going to need a new motor. If you have warranty then just take it to the dealer and they should have all of the service write ups with oil changes. Sorry to hear and good luck.

warranty will not cover improper oil changes, which is most likely what happened because the oil was changed at jiffy lube.... the oil filter housing cover is very easy to break without proper tools and knowledge

Nah she said in her statment that she always goes to the dealershipe and she went to Jiffy when she heard the noise so they can add oil. But it won't hurt to get the dealer to cover it. My engine blew and I did no oil changes with them and they covered the motor. If she has warranty she can get a replacement.

Well the dealership knows what is all going on with my car... They are going to talk to jiffy lube and see what to do from there.. The thing is though, the knocking in the engine part happened about 2 months ago or more.. I did take the car into Mazda at that time to let them know whats happening, they didn't hear the knocking at that time and told me to come back.. So I had an apt. setup already for the past sat.. Just happened to so be around the same time my oil was completly empty.. So this could MAYBE be an issue on Mazda's end also.. They did fix my car before - they broke valves, cylinder block and crankshaft.. so it could be that maybe they didnt fix everything properly before and maybe after a little wear and tear the bearings and cam began to break? who knows...

I also asked Mazda if this is Jiffy lubes fault.. they said at this time they don't know they have to look into it more to find out.. possibly maybe they knows its their fault but going to try to put in on Jiffy Lubes fault? Who knows.. I just hope they can figure it out soon so they can fix my car so I am not still driving around wondering when my engine will go..
