NO MP3 its M3 or Mazdaspeed 3

Sorry guys the update on the new mazda is M3 or Mazdaspeed 3 no Mp3. But it returns with 2.3l I-4 (Svt) Sequential vavle timing or Tsdc some other stuff on the base model 178hp engine. There isn't gonna be turbo, cause there isn't gonna be another MP3. :mad: :mad: :mad: Check out www.Protegetech.com

i doubt it will be an M3, theres probably some legal things with bmw there, you know....

THey are going to call it mps...And you are right there will never be another mp3...it was a one time deal......Mazda will never put a turbo in a protege......The new mps will be out in about 3 years with 18inch rims.... If anyone wants to know about the new product go to www.racingbeat.com they have how they built the mp3 and future proteges...Our car in japan is turbo charged...they originally had after market headers and intake in the U.S mp3 but decided at the last minute not to do it....Why because they couldn't get it to blow cool air....So the mp3 did orginally have additional power but to many problems....

The site also says the car will be at the New York Auto show in 2.0 liter turbo trim...It is Hunter's specualtion that the car will use the 2.3 liter motor...

I just went to the Chicago auto show. they only had the 6 there and a bell prepped miata no new 3? The staff there new less about it than us! Oh yeah they had a pace car p5 also.

The Protege 5 pace car was built by AWR for use at Laguna Seca (aka Mazda Raceway at Laguna Seca)...In case you were wondering.

you say the mps will be out in about 3yrs. ive heard the next generation protege is gonna share the same platform as the focus. so maybe it will share the new svt engine.

Nope...Here's the deal with the new Protege platform, and Mazdas work with it.

Ford did the intial design work on the new platform which will be used in the next gen Focus, gen 4 Protege, and some small car Volvos. Mazda is refining that platform so that the new Protege will handle like a Mazda should (read as better than any Ford offering).

All small engine development will be done by Mazda. All Mazdas with four cylinder engines will be Mazda desinged motors. Well, all four cylinder engines used in Ford MC products will be Mazda's design. So, no SVT motors...

sorry guys the mp3 is not going to get the 2.3 only the altenzza will get it . but the mp3 (is) goning to get the " turbo " that is the word i heard for MAZDA corp. and it will be able to be installed on the PR5 since it will be the 2.0 I4

You are wrong there will be no turbo....Mazda doesn't know.....Sounds funny but look up racingbeat.com I have spoke to jim langler he is an engineer for racing beat...They do all the performance for mazda......On the site they have all the new engines that will be in the new mazda cars....He told me that they are working on the new mps protege......HE couldn't tell me too many details because the car is being designed...He told me what it will be called...It will have 18inch rims with about 50 more horse power than the mp3......he also said it wont be out for about 3 years...
