Anyone else notice how nice our cars ran last night and this morning with the cool weather and low humidity?

This morning espically, the car felt really good!

Odd that you mentioned it. My stock SOB really runs well when the weather is nice, this morning it was an amazing difference...I need a FMIC in the worst way.

Yeah...I wish I didn't have to work, I'd be out driving around having some fun.

Doesn't more humidity = more power? Water doesn't combust so with more water in the air that would equal higher compression. I'm pretty sure that is technically correct but with humidity comes really hot temps in MN so it alleviates the higher compression. My car always feels great cuz of my recent FMIC install. Best purchase yet. Thanks Tom.

The reason water is bad is due to the fact that your car burns oxygen. H20 doesn't burn so when it is humid your intaking more water molicules. Basically the water is taking up space that on a cool dry day would be filled with oxygen molicules.

for instance on a humid day your engine takes in 20% oxygen and on a dry day (same temperature=same amount of AIR) takes in 30% oxygen. It will burn hotter, faster, and more completely on the dry day.

Cool days are also better than hot days because the air is more dense (the molicules are closer together) so if the humidity is the same on a 90 degree day and a 70 degree day you might take in...say 1 gallon of 20% oxygen air per second on the 90degree day...but you would take in 1.4 gallons of 20% oxygen air per second on the 70 degree day because the air is more COMPACT and easier to intake. So...you would have more oxygen molicules to burn on a cold day.

My car is running well all except for... well I don't know what it is. Alright usually 2nd gear, full thotle, normally hogh rpm, not always (sometimes 3500), but here is the catch 13lbs of boost? That is spike, it holds 12. The poblem is a violent cut out of the motor. Not always 2nd gear but always fulol throttle. I have no cats,2.5" back to stock muff, and manual boost control. It runs great except for once or twice a day. Did I mention I drive a lot and beat the s*** out of it 90% of the time. I can't help it, it's too fun! I also have the Eiback pro-kit springs, so not much for mods. But I ran 14 1/5 in the 1/4 and can take a clover a about 55mph (daily), so for street it's good times. Anyway, does anyone think this is sign of blowing my motor? I did turn down boost to be safe, but if it blows, IT CAN ONLY GET BETTER, Right (rockon)

That's called fuel cut/spark cut. It's designed to save your motor. There is a fuel cut defenser that you could purchase. I don't recommend it though if you don't have EMS or and AFC or a built motor running that much PSI.
