long story short, during the late 1800's, chinese people were promised work here in america. many had no money to come so they had to promise to work on a farm or railroad track for a certain number years. And when they did work off their debts, their pay could barely support themselves so they had to share housing with friends and family. at that time, there was discrimination against the chinese (asians in general). they were pushed out of common white areas until they were all gathered in large chinese communities. and thats how "china town" came about. they were safe inside china town, but it became dangerous when outside. beatings and even lynchings were held. they were hung by their braided hair...thank you for your time lol

Why is it most cities, have a china town, but know Japan town, or japan land? just thought it was weird. I know how to speaka da japanese, but noa chinese, i would like to talk to some nice japanese girls, but cant find them anywere. I think the japanese should switch food with the chinese, and then the japanese, can hav mu chu, and sweet and sour pork. Then i would officially be on the hunt for a japanese lady that cooks good chinese food.

actually bootlegged things are illegal there. i was buying a bunch of movies in guangzhou in a alley where there were just TONS of vendors, then two cops ride by to check out whats the heat and EVERYONE(vendors) just pick up their s*** and run...insane..

It's actually hard to know what is legal and what is not legal in mainland China.

Screwing a 15 year old daughter of an ordinary citizen is legal, but screwing a 25 year old daughter of a high govenment official without his permission might get you into trouble.

Sharing PS2 games, DVD ripoffs files, mp3, and PC software over the internet in China won't get you caught, but saying things against the communist government over the internet and they will go after you if you are a citizen there.

I dunno I prefer my girls white/anglo saxon, and auburned haired. I haven't met a filipina (filipino girl for the rest of you guys ) that I can stick with for more than 4 weeks. The one I'm seeing now though is half white and half filipino so hey I compromised

Yes it does, its like saying Muslims but they all come from different countries. I do take some offense when someone calls me "asian" no its "filipino biatch!" I rather ask people where they are from instead of saying "you asian?" "you mexican?" and so on and so on.

You are right about that.
And I mean not just those DVDs, handbags, and stuff that you use or for decorative purpose. They recently discovered tons of hoax food products over there, including some brand of milk powder for babies that doesn't contain any nutrition for the baby and casued a some deaths.
