Soo ive been getting a turbo kit together for a little while now and ive had my mind set on the greddy type s... as we all know they have been discontinued due to weak diaphrams that leaked boost...a company called NGR started to make the greddy type s since (iirc greddy lost the right to thier design for the type-s) The reason they are on ebay is because its just a couple of guys like me and you trying to make a business... they are just trying to get their name out there..

NGR made a new one with "Durable Cast Aluminum and The internals are designed to perform better than original Type-S; it will not leak under any boost level. It does not use a cheap diaphragm like other competitors, it uses a more durable, longer lasting diaphragm, which is even better than the Diaphragm they used for the original Type-S, shaped the same way."

I would really like to get this but my buddy whos basically putting together my turbo kit wont let me get it...so here are my questions

1.Has anyone heard anything bad about these?( all the forums online dont say anything bad)
2. If you are running it.. how long? and any problems?
3. How do i convince my buddy this is legit...

i would never buy any real performance piece from ebay.... and NGR doesnt sounds too legit

sounds like your buddy is looking out for you

...o man....i dont want to argue with you....i hear you are god.. im going with your water line setup...

this is all i have to say...NGR imo is just trying to get their name out there and really dont want to be called an ebay item.. they are just starting up... i think im going to buy this bov and once i get it take it out and check and see whatsup...ill like being first on things.

if you wanna give it a shot, its your money. I won't be surprised when the "I told you so"s start coming. That said, I'll be pleasantly surprised when you come back with no boost leaks and think the world of the thing. personally, I prefer the pull type BOVs, as they don't leak by design...

since october of 2005, THAT is one of 4 things that was worth saying for you? LOL

Yeah lol. I don't use this forum that much. I own a MX-3.... I am on the rx7club.com forum more than this one :).

But yeah, I will become a poster soon enough.

Sounds like you've already made up your mind so why bother even asking. Get your knock-off Type-S (and yes, it is a knock-off because Greddy made the first design), install it and let us all know how it works. There are only two possible outcomes here...

well my mind is pretty much set.. i just wanted to see if anyone had ACTUALLY tried it and used it... sometimes ebay isnt that bad....a couple ms3 are using it with no problems...so far all ive heard in this thread is that its and ebay piece....

and again im not hear to argue with anyone.....just want opinions..

Someone I know bought a diaphragm from them to replace his, but I never heard anything else about it, so I would assume it would work fine. Get it and try it out. If it doesn't work, sell it on the Honduh forums :P
