Next mazdaspeed vehicle?

Just wondering if anyone has any idea what the next mazdaspeed vehicle will be after the ms3? I'm thinking mx-5 right now, but mazda may not want to screw with a winning formula ie (just enough horsepower for the weight of the car).

There is a mazdaspeed miata and its pretty quick too. I love the way it looks but the intercooler looks kinda funny. NO OFFENSE to all the MSM owners out there.

Yes, but that's based on the previous gen miata. They'll probably eventually bring out a mazdaspeed mx-5...of the new generation.

Ya the MSM wasn't their biggest success. I've been rootin for an MS RX8 for a while. It's the next "car" in the Mazda line that doesn't have an MS version. For current models they got the 3, 6, Miata, Protege, the RX8 is bound to be next.

I thought Mazda already came out with a mazdaspeed RX8 but with only body upgrades, it was probably only something you could get in japan. That would be kick ass if mazda came out with an ms version of the 8 with more power. Isn't the rx8 up for redesign in a year or two anyway? Would the rotary be turbo or supercharged? I've heard of people have problems with these rotary cars in terms of reliablity and it being fairly difficult to turbo these things.

those are 'RX-8 Mazdaspeed version' in JDM markets, they're not technically 'official' MS RX-8 (notice how they swapped the 'Mazdaspeed' and RX-8 around lol) since it's not listed as a Mazda Performance Series (MPS) car.

Mazda is being reallly tight lipped about Mazdaspeed plans for the 8, but in general the NA RX-8's are pretty darn reliable

actually, the first truely badass minivan was the windstar that Kenne Belle supercharged, put some nice wheels on, adapted the mustang exhaust to, and the thing ran 0-60 in 5.5 or so.....350hp front-wheel drive minivan, sounds like sleeper fun to me!!
