5cyl and bump in displacment is a good thing, even with the drop in power this motor still has more potential than our current motor. The 5cyl should make for some interesting exhaust sounds aswell.

As for what they're gunna make it look like??? that's up in the air, and very subjective if based on the looks of the new Euro Focus with the 5cyl turbo.

Edmunds now has a tab for the 2009 MazdaSpeed3, so it must be true for sure. Invoice looks to be $300 higher than 2008.5.

This isn't exactly about the new 3, MS3...but considering this car is it's directly related "family member" I'm curious as to if that suspension setup is as good as it is (300ish HP and no torque steer), and if so, would they share it with Mazda??

Pretty sure they stole the front end off of an Evo and the back end off of a Malibu.

Despite that, it's a pretty wild design, and I find myself not entirely hating it. The green has to go though.

the front end of that looks pretty sweet, but i could do without the hood vents. i think it'd look a lot cleaner sans vents.

as for the rear, reminds me a little of the volvo c30, another ford/mazda family member. high, tall tail lights most specifically. i think the sharp slope of the rear glass contrasted with the almost vertical hatch looks kinda funky tho.

The RS is an absolute animal and I wish they would bring it here! Anyone who is familiar with the European versions of the Ford Sport Compact Monster know that cosworth made some amazing vehicles.

actually i got a flyer in the mail from the zoom zoom maghazine today, shows a mazda i believe that looks jsut like that "photshoped" picture. the title says "looks familiar" and has a red mazda that looks jsut liek that one. i guess its the 6?
