Okay, I just got back some info on the new Apexi S-AFC II. Apparently Apex'i tells me it will work. The new SFC can be used on the Familia S Wagon in Japan which has the FS-ZE engine. This opens up a WHOLE new slew of options for us guys. I'm planning on getting one but who knows when that is gonna happen.

So, for you guys with the cash to burn. Buy one. Hook it up, and if it works .... buy one for me too!

which means i could hook it up even though i dont have a turbo and improve my fuel map right?

How is this different thn the first one? The reason the first S-AFC didnt work with our cars is that when we go WOT about 4500rpm, the computer shuts out all sensors and goes with pre-programed fuel maps. Unless this 2nd generation piggyback has the fix for that, it is still useless.

Remember that they dont run OBD2 ecu's in Japan.

Alright, promising news... now we just need someone to borrow one and test it. A S-AFC II would help a lot, imagine what we can do.

You are correct my friend. In theory (if Kenetic is right), you will be able to fine tune your fuel curve throughout the revband in 500 rpm increments. I hope this is true.

Well according to apexi, the previous generation sfc would only read a through a certain voltage range on the MAF. Its supposed to be fixed now with the sfc II.

Its around 450 dollars and yes I would love if you would do a sig, just let me get some pics!

Okay apexi tells me that the previous gen SFC would only work on the BP-ZET engine in the Familia/Protege. They're saying all is working now for the FS series engine.

Its well worth the money. Yeah, you could POSSIBLY improve milage, especially with us rich ass running MSP's, but you'll be able to tune everything o nice you can get some numbers out of it.

hmmm ill have to research that s*** because it wasnt available i didnt know anything about it....where can you buy them from (not like im running for my CC right now, just curious)

I still dont think its going to help. Voltage has nothing to do with the ECU going closed loop.
i know what you're saying, but every other obdII car does the exact same thing at wot, and this helps them out when switching to bigger injectors and everything. the s-afc has both high and low settings, the high being at typically greater than 75% throttle (i.e. closed loop), so it must still be tricking the ecu so that it knows where to be on the fuel map that it is using.

from what i understand, the safc intecepts the signal from the sensors and then sends a different signal to the ecu, basically "tricking it". awesome news kenetix :D our fuel problems may be solved!
